We loved this, but I did modify it just a piddling. I but had eight oz cream cheese, and so I folded about a cup of Cool Whip into the mix. I likewise used the juice of ane lemon and 1 lime. Added ane teaspoon of vanilla and 1/4 teaspoon orangish extract. The recipe I unremarkably use for lemon icebox pie merely calls for condensed milk and lemon juice, simply I like this recipe amend, because I believe the cream cheese tones down the season of the condensed milk. Nosotros really enjoyed the creaminess and light lemon taste.

This recipe is fabled! The pie comes out beautiful and then tasty. I used the zest and juice of 3 lemons and it turned out great. Just enough tartness to offset the sweetness of the cream cheese and condensed milk. A hint? Keep it in the freezer for a while before you swallow it, makes it even more refreshing!

I fabricated this pie this evening for a dinner party and everybody loved it. I did still, apply the zest of iv lemons! I also used a regular crust intstead of the graham. I really whipped the heck out of information technology to make information technology thick and creamy. UPDATE: Use THE ZEST OF 4 LEMONS, Not THE JUICE OF 4 LEMONS!!!!

This is really i of my favorite summer recipes for it's light refreshing season, the fact that it's an easy no bake recipe, and doesn't call for cool whip or jello. I've made information technology often and it's one of my almost pop desserts. Seeing that it has some very mixed reviews, more often than not addressing consistency and flavour, I will offer this...cans of sweetened condensed milk just come in 300 ml (x oz) sizes around here and then that's the amount I apply, and it sets up quite well for me, so I would recommend using that amount only. Because the size of a lemon tin can vary and the recipe doesn't requite a specific amount of juice, I would advise adding the juice to taste and so it doesn't become as well tart. If more lemon flavor is desired, just it's tart enough, up the amount of lemon zest instead of adding more than juice. To ensure a smooth filling, be sure to scrape downwards the bowl later chirapsia the cream cheese, and add the milk and lemon slowly, over again scraping the bowl occasionally until all is well incorporated. Finally, I have found that beating the mixture for a expert five minutes after it's smooth yields a very light textured, mousse like result. Be sure to also use a 'tnt' crust if going the shop bought road or information technology may backbite from the overall flavour of the finished pie. I prefer to just mix upwardly some graham crumbs, butter, and sugar if needed, and press into the pie plate. It isn't ever necessary to bake a crumb chaff.

Disappointing. I idea two packages of cream cheese would exist also much and I should have followed my instincts instead of the reviews (and made the other Lemon Icebox Pie recipe on this site that calls for just I parcel of cream cheese, darn information technology) Besides cream cheesey tangy, not sweet enough because of it (I'yard sure the sweetness level would exist fine if only one package of cream cheese was used) and not lemony enough, even tho' I nearly doubled the amount of zest called for. I also made my own crust, using "Graham Cracker Crust," as well from this site. Information technology's a pretty pie, but information technology'south not every bit mouthwatering skillful as it looks.

This was extremely easy to brand and pleased my dinner guests. I recommend calculation the cool-whip topping...it made the dessert much better. I also made my lower in fatty by using calorie-free cool-whip and fat costless cream cheese! Every trivial bit helps! Be sure to blend the foam sheese well before adding lemon juice or it will curdle and gustatory modality terrible!
08/16/2005
This was EXCELLENT. I fabricated it twice in one calendar week. I used a shortbread set up-fabricated pie chaff from the shop and fatty-complimentary cream cheese. I used real lemons one day and the next time I used a i/two cup of lemon juice from consentrate. Both worked out well. We kept it in the freezer until prepare to serve. Cheers for a quick and perfect summer pie.
05/05/2008
Very easy to brand, and loved by everyone. I did use the juice of 2 lemons, and the zest of 2 lemons.
09/09/2001
This is bang-up recipe, particularly for the hot summer months when you don't want to plough on your oven. The second time I made this pie I used fat gratuitous condensed milk, 1/iii less fat foam cheese and fat complimentary cool whip to cut fat down to 10g. Do not use low fat condensed milk, from my by experience it does not thicken besides as the fat free or regular when citrus is added. Have not tried the fat free cream cheese even so.

Cheers for the bully recipe! This was actually easy to make, it took me barely 15 mins and it southward an impressive dessert, esp if u accept guests and u re rushed for fourth dimension - only make alee of time and refrigerate. I made some modifications, notwithstanding , afterwards reading some of the reviews. I used only 1 stick of the cream cheese (eight oz Philadelphia) and substituted the other for ready to utilize whipped cream ( virtually 300ml). The remainder was the same, 1 can of milkmaid (sweetened condensed milk) and the juice and zest of ii large lemons. Used premade graham pie chaff as suggested. Used a electric beater to beat it all together smoothly. Came out cute! not to sweet and the lemon flavour was just nice. Agree that if I had used 2 sticks of foam cheese, information technology might have been also cream cheesy... Everyone at home loved it and will definitely be making it again- thanks once more for the wonderful recipe and all the reviewers for their suggestions!

Whew! This one has been a large hit. Even my 5 yr old likes it, she'south not much of a sweet eater. I don't know how that happened. I did increase information technology to the juice of three lemons for our tastes. This one will exist on the bill of fare alot!
05/24/2008
This recipe is quick ,easy and expert. I used the juice and zest of three lemons and felt like it withal tasted a piffling also much similar cream cheese. This recipe is not sugariness then if y'all don't like sweet this is for you. i'm sure you could apply either lemons or limes as this is similar to key lime pie VII which uses more than sweetened condensed milk. I recomend the key lime pie Vii if you like your pie a trivial sweeter and again, i'one thousand sure you could use either lemons or limes.
05/30/2011
Dearest this dessert! It'southward so simple and so yummy! I have brought it to a couple bbq parties and everyone loves it and wants the recipe. Information technology's very refreshing! The only thing I did differently...and it's because nosotros really wanted it to exist more than tart and lemony...is I added an actress one/2 of a lemon and only used nearly 12 oz. of the sweetened condensed milk. Information technology was perfectly mouthwatering! Thanks for a wonderful dessert Heather!! YUMMY!
06/09/2010
I have been making a pie like to this for over thirty years. I only utilize one viii oz. pkg. cream cheese and ane/3 loving cup lemon juice along with the sweetened condensed milk. My family loves it!
01/24/2013
I love this pie and the recipe works although I think an exact measure of the lemon juice would assistance. In that location are too many various sizes of lemons. I have made this iii times within the year and learned a couple of things. If you want a fluffy pie, beat information technology on loftier for almost 2 minutes and the pie will be lighter and fluffier. Second, make sure you don't add the lemon juice to just the cream cheese. On my first pie, I failed to trounce in the condensed milk starting time so it was horribly lumpy and I had to beat information technology most 5 minutes to smooth the lumps. Awesome pie and now my sister and niece serve it to their families for dessert likewise.

Super yummy! To cut the crazy amounts of fat, we used neufchatel and nonfat sweetened condensed milk (and will employ reduced fatty graham crust next fourth dimension), and I don't think it affected the flavour at all. Nonetheless, simply know that the fat is what makes it fix up so beautifully every bit it cools, so spooky in the freezer is your best bet if you do the same. It'southward a very very pale yellow, and so we used this for our 4th of July carmine-white-and-blue dessert with strawberries & blueberries. It was neat! Quick heads-up for lemon lovers similar me - this is a flossy, soft lemon flavor, not tart like a lemon meringue pie; think lemon yogurt. Definitely accept an actress lemon or 2 on hand for juice (and especially zest) and taste your filling before you pour; I used a microplane and so I definitely got every last flake of zest off my lemons, and I would've been bummed if it had been any less lemony than it was. It was corking, though - a flossy, absurd, refreshing plate o'lemony goodness!
09/09/2010
Good recipe. My lemons were big and I got about 2 oz of juice from each i. Turned out well.
08/02/2010
SOOO skilful! I did add together more zest (3 lemons) and a lilliputian more lemon juice due to other reviews of not being "lemony" enough. Turned out great!!
07/01/2012
I only used ane 8oz package of cream cheese and used i/4 cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice (4 lemons ish). To make sure things gear up up well (and rapidly) I dissolved one/2tsp of unflavored gelatin in 1tbsp boiling water. so added that right at the end before pouring into the pie shell. Set over night and has such a great lemony flavor!
04/14/2017
Been making this for more than than 60 years......my mother found it on the other side of characterization on tin can of Eagle Brand Condensed Milk!!!! And then whoever posted this recipe should not be taking credit for sometime recipe that's been effectually since tardily'fifty'southward!!LOL Note to those of you that wondered well-nigh amount of cream cheese......good instincts!!!.....recipe has always called for I 8 oz package of Cream cheese!! And I have never seen 14 ounce cans of condensed milk...... hither in Canada 1 tin can of condensed milk is 300 ml or 10 fluid ounces. Accept always made it like that and information technology's e'er slap-up. Have never had to put in in freezer to prepare. ....it does take well-nigh 2-iii hours to set up but I don't thinkifreezing would contribute much to flossy consistency!! Have never tried topping pie with whipped cream....that sounds like a lot of milk product !!! Blueberry pie filling (or your own berry topping) is lovely...
09/xiv/2011
Did not set upwards correctly.
08/21/2010
Have made this twice. Followed directions exactly, in one case using lemons and one time using limes. Easy to lighten up using low fat cream cheese and fat free sweetened condensed milk. Super easy, convenient ingredients and fabulous taste. Not bad depression investment, high render dessert--my favorite kind. Rave reviews from all.
08/23/2011
Delicious. I served information technology at a dinner party and everyone loved it. The merely changes I made were to use the juice and zest of iii lemons, and add together a teaspoon of vanilla. I used light foam cheese and it turned out perfectly. I served it with lightly sweetened whipped cream.
02/18/2011
This pie has get a weekly treat in our house. Very piece of cake to make and admittedly delicious! I've tried with both the regular cream cheese and low fat cream cheese and couldn't tell the difference. I spread some Cool Whip on peak and then sprinkle a niggling actress lemon zest on top to make it pretty.
04/27/2008
I wanted something with a distinct lemon flavor - this just tastes similar cream cheese in a pie crust.
07/twenty/2011
This is a delicious pie for summer BBQ'southward with some small changes that made it over the top! I utilize 8oz. whipped foam cheese instead of 2 blocks. I also add together one package of lemon pie filling mix. The kind yous utilize to make lemon meringue pie. I'm sure it'due south just sugar and granulated lemon just it makes this pie absolutely succulent. Not the sour twang of also much creamed cheese. I as well top mine with strawberries and blueberries and it's a striking every time! Effort information technology and I'chiliad sure yous'll brand 2 next time.
x/08/2010
I used this every bit a filling for a fruit tart on the 4th of July. I made my own shortbread crust, allow it cool, added the filling and topped it with berries and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Everyone loved it.
04/24/2014
This was really, really skillful! I bought 2 small-scale lemons and used the zest and juice of both. I tasted the filling before pouring it into the chaff to brand sure it was lemony enough, and two lemons was perfect. I made it on a Fri afternoon and served it the next evening. Information technology set up perfectly. My family and friends all loved it. I volition be making this 1 again and again. It's the perfect like shooting fish in a barrel dessert when you are peckish lemon!
11/03/2010
I never thought I'd say this, just it was just a tad too cream cheesey for me, but overall nevertheless a practiced taste. Will maybe add some cool whip for added fluffiness next time. Would make once more...just with a few tweaks.
12/21/2014
I loved this pie! I'1000 giving a 4 instead of five considering I did deviate from the original recipe. I followed other reviewer'due south suggestions and only used one 8oz package of cream cheese. Instead of folding in cool whip, I crush a one/2 cup of heavy whipping foam (with 1/four tsp vanilla extract, 1/4 tsp of lemon excerpt and one tbs of confectioners sugar) and folded that in. I put the pie in the freezer an hour before I served it and topped with whipped cream. I saw a lot of people had different opinions on the strength of the lemon season in the pie. I used the zest and juice of two big lemons and it was perfect for my family.
07/25/2010
I have been using this recipe for years and ever become rave reviews. information technology is rich and succulent and more than then satisfy my cheesecake cravings, but is much easier and surprisingly lighter(perchance not calories but taste) then well-nigh cheesecakes. BTW, I have always known this recipes equally cheesecake pie, non as icebox pie. tin can see why some people were confused...but look at the ingredients...it's going to taste similar cheesecake...lol
ten/eighteen/2011
This was so yummy, and so easy! I fabricated information technology several times this summer. Fifty-fifty my brother-in-police force, who doesn't similar lemon, loved this one. I couldn't believe it! I agree with others to add the zest and juice of an extra lemon, otherwise there just isn't enough lemon flavor. I as well whipped in some whipped cream to fluff it upwards, otherwise it's very dense and heavy. I gave this 4 stars because of the changes I made, just with the changes, information technology's a five star pie for sure!
07/31/2009
I gave this iv stars considering I inverse the recipe slightly by adding whipped topping to the final stir. It turned out wonderful! My guests loved this.
05/eighteen/2008
Very flossy and refreshing. The only alter I will probably make is more lemon. Good summer dessert.
04/25/2008
I've been looking for a recipe like this i. I did modiy just a little. I used 3 lemons and 1 lime, I besides added 1/2 container of cool whip. I took this to a potluck dinner and it was the 1st dessert to disappear. Sweet but with the sour seize with teeth. GREAT!!!!!!!
09/02/2008
Oh my gosh this was super piece of cake to brand, and information technology was and so good. I used low fatty versions of everything and y'all could not tell at all. Yummy.
12/03/2011
Yum, I added boosted lemon..yum
05/03/2008
This is the easiest and always inspires awe.."like how did you lot make this?"..!!!
05/15/2004
I used four lemons that yielded ¾ cup of lemon juice. I also added the zest from those lemons. Some thought the lemon flavor was correct, some other thought is was a bit tart. And then depending on your love of lemons, I would recommend using ½ to ¾ cup of lemon juice. Although I did not measure the zest, I retrieve it was about ii teaspoons. That also contributes to the lemon season, and then consider that too. This is a prissy pie that is very easy to make.
08/09/2010
While this pie is super-elementary to gather, information technology doesn't produce a super-foolproof result. My pie never really set-up properly so it was like eating a custard filling instead of a pie. Perhaps I added too much lemon juice? It may be better to list the number of tablespoons of lemon juice to be added rather than 2 lemons, juiced. I practice like the fresh taste of a lemon pie, so, mayhap next time I'll nix ane parcel of cream cheese in favor of about a 1/2 cup to three/iv cup of sour cream. So, I'll bake the pie for about 10-15 minutes before putting it in the refrigerator to cool.
07/21/2011
we liked it very well but i had no lemons so used real lemon juice. 1/iv c. per lemon...1/2c for the pie.
07/27/2011
A keeper, delicious and quick and easy to prepare. I followed a suggestion and used the juice and zest from three lemons. My family and I like information technology a little tarter so may effort four lemons next time. Thank y'all for sharing, Heather.
09/13/2014
After reviewing the reviews I used merely i package of low-fat cream cheese, ane cup of 50% less saccharide condensed milk, added 1 cup of nonfat Cool Whip, ane tsp vanilla, and the zest and juice of 3 lemons. Later on adding each ingredient slowly, beat on high with the mixer well-nigh v minutes until fluffy. AWESOME! And then lite and lemony. Hubby loooved this, he is a large lemon fan and this is our new fave. Instead of using a shop-bought pie crust I made my ain graham cracker chaff and pressed it into cupcakes in a silicone pan. Put them in the freezer for a few hours for 12 ready-to-serve individual mini-pies. It is piece of cake to pop these mini-pies out of the silicone pan and they soften in about a half hour. Topped each with a dab of Cool Whip. Keeping uneaten portions frozen prevents u.s.a. from eating a whole pie in 1 or two days!! :)
03/18/2012
I wish I could give this 5 stars, because it tasted and then good that four of u.s. killed the whole pie in one sitting! Unfortunately, we had to eat it with spoons because it never did ready up. Still, the filling was so delicious, we thought next time just brand the filling, forget the chaff, and serve information technology in bowls! I do wish someone could suggest a way to get information technology to set up.
06/08/2010
Excellant! Made information technology with 1 brick of low fat cr. cheese and used 1 loving cup of cool whip folded in. A dwelling fabricated graham crust is the best too! Very like shooting fish in a barrel. Oh and used more lemon zest.
08/30/2010
yummy
07/19/2010
I am only giving this iii stars because every bit is, it does not have enough lemon. Yous definitely need to follow the recommendations and add the zest of four lemons instead of simply a teaspoon.
07/23/2010
The reason I gave this recipe only two stars is because it's more than of a tasty lemon cheesecake than an actual lemon icebox pie. I had to employ more lemons as well (3 lemons for juice AND zest) and actually felt similar I should accept used at least 1 more than and it just turned out to be a overnice, flossy lemon cheesecake. :/ Kinda dissapointed because I wasted time and ingredients...but mainly because I've had a strong craving for lemon icebox pie here lately...and this recipe is not it. :(
12/24/2011
Really good flavor. Thought the freshly squeezed lemon juice gave the pie a existent zing! I didn't get the correct texture with mine though so make sure you use an electric mixer (I don't ain i) or it comes out lumpy. Mine was tasty just non as pretty to look at.
06/12/2012
I made this today and it turned out great even though I had substitutions. My substitions were, 5 tablespoons of lemon juice instead of juice from 2 lemons. Also i teaspoon of orange rind/zest from spice jar instead of lemon zest. Used subs considering that'southward what I had on hand and it turned out not bad! Juice from ane lemon is approximately 3 tablespoons at most, so I used 5 tablespoons for the 2 lemons. Will be making this over again.
08/sixteen/2015
I've made this recipe for the past 6 years and since then realized that information technology's foolproof. I never really measure out the lemon juice and I utilise the zest of 2-4 lemons. But for best results, Expect 1 Mean solar day BEFORE EATING! Information technology lasts for 10 days in the fridge, and so let it really mellow.
09/11/2014
Fabricated this as a quick dessert for a summer BBQ. I am a terrible baker, so I love any dessert that uses shop bought crust and has a no fail filling. I made this the night before and it held up really well.
01/29/2006
I used iii/4 Cup lemon juice and the zest of a whole lemon. I like to apply vanilla wafer crust more than than graham wafer. I used an 8X8 foursquare pan, to make it more like squares instead of a pie. It worked very nicely. This is my favorite lemon icebox/cheesecake recipe, and I've been looking a long time! I volition definately make this again.
eleven/23/2001
My only problem with this pie was that it didn't have a strong enough lemon taste. Mayhap my lemons were too pocket-size to get the right amount of juice? I'd love to effort making this pie once again if I had a liquid measurement for how much juice there should be.
04/09/2006
Wonderful smooth creamy pie. I made it on a whim ii hrs before company came considering I needed a quick dessert that I could use my lemons on. Everybody loved it and said it was delicious. I did not utilise any whipped topping on it only that would probably have made information technology creamier. I did use more than lemon rind than was called for considering I really dearest that lemon flavour. I simply added this one to my recipe file.
03/01/2008
This whipped up in the nutrient processor in no fourth dimension!! I used the juice of 3 lemons and the zest of 2. Half my family want less lemon adjacent time while the other half loved it equally is! I can't wait to endeavor information technology with limes!
06/sixteen/2010
yummy!
07/13/2014
Recipe was very adept, substituted Gluten free crust past grinding 8oz GF ginger snap cookies and 6tblsp melted butter to brand crust. Bake in pie dish for 7mins , cool and add filling. Bumped up lemon juice to 3 lemons as well. Big Hit!!
07/15/2010
Awesome! This is my boyfriend's favorite dessert so I was nervous about choosing a recipe to follow, but I'm so glad I chose this one. He said it was the best he'due south e'er had and anybody who tasted it keeps bugging me to make some other one.
ten/08/2000
When I made this recipe, it was guick and delicious. My husband keeps asking me to make information technology again. I would highely recommend information technology to everyone.
01/02/2018
I used the juice of two large lemons and I recollect that was a fleck as well much because the filling was fairly runny. Information technology did thicken in the fridge but became runny once more when sitting out at a party.
08/16/2011
Good+++
09/xxx/2007
This tasted like lemon cheese cake non similar lemon icebox pie.
01/03/2008
This isn't the recipe I was hoping information technology would be. Information technology was nowhere near sweet enough, and I ended upwards having to add together the zest of four lemons to get anywhere close to a real "lemony" flavour. It was just very apartment tasting.
09/18/2007
Yum Yum Yum Yum Yum... nosotros thought this was fantastic!! Did not use the lemon rind as i hate bits if rind in any food - but will mayhap endeavour information technology side by side time every bit this was a piddling light on the lemon tang, and i used 2 lemons! But all the aforementioned was absolutely delicous and will exist made again and again in my house!
07/17/2007
This is such a corking recipe that never fails! I agree to add together 1 more lemon (or you can cheat and use ane/4 loving cup concentrated lemon juice) and for an actress flossy touch on, I add i teaspoon of vanilla!
05/26/2009
This recipe is soooo easy and admittedly delicious! I peculiarly loved that it'south a no bake. All of my family loved this so much. They idea information technology was store bought! This pie is now a favorite amidst my family. Thanks posting it!
09/01/2011
Tastes very expert volition make it again!
04/19/2015
I read every review & using their recommendations the pie was outstanding & is a wonderful dessert to serve to family unit and guests. I always leave foam cheese out overnite to soften & avoid the little lumps. To avoid the "cream cheese flavour" I added ane/4 loving cup sugar to the foam cheese and beat out the ii together for 5 minutes. I and then added the condensed milk and 1 tsp. of vanilla, the juice of 2 very large lemons and all the zest from both lemons. I did not care for the prepared graham cracker crust so side by side time will make my own crust or as some suggested use the shortbread crust. Other than that, it is a delicious dessert.
07/04/2010
Yummy, piece of cake pie! Just reason I did not give this 5 stars was fifty-fifty using 3 lemons for the zest and juice, we all the same could barely sense of taste any lemon. I gauge we but like a lot of tang in our lemon or lime pies. This recipe is definitely a keeper but I will up the lemon substantially in the future.
05/12/2010
Oh, this was actually adept, fifty-fifty better than I expected. This is a creamy and versatile go-to no-broil cheesecake recipe that everyone should have on paw. I fabricated my own graham cracker crust and used Neufchatel cheese and fat-free s.c. milk. I besides made sure to put in plenty of lemon zest, which not only adds bright season simply also happy specks of colour. Be sure to practise a taste examination after mixing everything together to see if anything needs added (carbohydrate, more zest, etc.) I'm thinking of trying a vanilla pie next!
08/02/2011
really good...I needed to add quite a bit more than lemon juice and zest to get the lemony tart taste I was looking for but information technology was sooo easy and quick to make...I garnished with blueberries!
05/09/2007
This pie is wonderful. I used 3/4 c of lemon juice instead of juicing and zesting lemons (just to save fourth dimension). I served it for Sunday lunch and information technology was gone in minutes. I added a little flake of yellow nutrient coloring just for looks.
06/17/2017
So, after reading many reviews I am calculation my review from a male perspective and from someone who is not a cook or baker. Even I managed to become this dessert to come out quite tasty and would do information technology once again. Amazed at how piece of cake information technology was to make. I did have a hard fourth dimension trying to determine the amount of lemon juice to utilize every bit anybody says an amount would be easier. And then, I microwaved the foam cheese (two 8 oz bars) to soften, then I crush the cream for about 2 mins until flossy. So I added the sweetened condensed milk beat on high to blend well, then I added the lemon juice and zest which incorporated (I discussion I see often with cooking, lol). I really beat probably more than then incorporated, it was creamy when I poured into the crust. So my only concern was if I added too much lemon would the pie not prepare in the shell, but after three hours in the refrigerator it was gear up. Information technology was light and lemony, I could have used more lemon juice only it was skillful. Changes for my next pie are (1) Sample the batter for amount of lemon flavor. I tossed some lemon juice for fear of not setting up just I could have used more than lemon flavor, (2) someone recommended freezing the pie, with the 1/4 of pie left over I chilled and loved it . Information technology did not freeze, even afterward setting over nighttime. Definitely volition brand again!
04/23/2018
This recipe was perfect! I had 4 very large lemons. I used the rind of all 4 and but the juice of 2 lemons. Of course you need to add in increments until y'all get the perfect taste of lemon. Mine came out light, sweet with simply the right amount of lemon gustation. I made a graham cracker crust from scratch equally well. Smashing bound/summer dessert. Thanks!
12/29/2009
OMG! My fam went crazy for this recipe! I used 2 cans of condensed milk instead of 1, and I used the lemon juice from the bottle in lieu of fresh lemons (I just added and tasted until it tasted right to me). Also, I used a bootleg/self-made graham cracker crust: crunch up graham crackers, mix in sugar and melted butter, and put into container that mix is going in and line it up all up the sides. They think I went through exhaustive measures for this icebox pie, merely it was SO Like shooting fish in a barrel to make! Def new fam fav tradition!
11/15/2011
Fantastic and so easy to brand. Besides sour for my taste only everyone loved information technology, except the kids! It'southward a great adult dessert, simply not for virtually kids.
06/xi/2010
made this tonight for dessert. Used fat-costless condensed milk. Topped with Lite Absurd Whip and it was a hitting! Good flavor and not also sweet or tart -- merely the right combination of ingredients. Both my daughters asked for the recipe! Thanks for submitting this ane.
07/12/2017
Used simply 1 cream cheese. Mixed cream cheese and condensed milk with mixer five or more min. before adding one/iii cup lemon juice, rind, and one tsp. vanilla. Exist sure and permit cream cheese go room temp. Very of import. Made my own graham cracker chaff. Added lemon rind on top of pie.
07/22/2011
I took the initiative to brand this slightly more healthy and then every bit not to feel and then guilty indulging. I'm then glad I did because this is amazing! I made my own graham cracker chaff- 1 bundle reduced fatty graham crackers, one packet of truvia no calorie sweetener and 2 tbls melted butter- baked in the oven for well-nigh 10 minutes. Then for filling I used one fatty free cream cheese and one regular, 1 parcel of truvia no cal sweetener, fatty free sweetended condensed milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and the zest and juice of only ane lemon. Creamy light and succulent- in my stance the perfect summer desert- especially for cheesecake lovers! i'll keep this is a desert staple in my cookbook for sure.
12/27/2017
Unproblematic and delicious! Made it according to recipe except I used zest and juice of 3 lemons. Served upwardly with some whipped cream.
04/08/2009
I took this pie to a church building pie sale and it was succulent. Information technology did cook, probably because information technology did non freeze long enough, but it still tasted good like that. Several people even asked for the recipe. Love this pie! It's and then like shooting fish in a barrel! The proportions are good, just I added one more than lemon's zest for a tangier flavour. Just gustation before filling crust to get the lemon to your liking. I topped information technology with blueberries. Thanks for a not bad, easy recipe, Heather!

Not bad, but I volition take the reviewer's advice from below and utilize the zest of 4 lemons next time. My guests enjoyed the pie but I thought it could use more lemon flavour and I believe the extra zest will do the trick.

My family loved this recipe! I added nigh a tsp of saccharide, only that was the only change I made and it probably wasn't necessary! I definetely recommend this recipe!

Very skillful and fast. I only purchased 1 lemon for zesting and juicing and used 1/3 cup of "simulated" lemon (the kind in the plastic lemon container) to save coin. Once mixed, I felt it needed more lemon flavor, and so I added extra. I love lime, and then I added a nuance of that also.

Wonderful and oh so easy. I used but a little less sweetened condensed milk to cut down on the sugar content. Very creamy.

A fantastically easy pie to make. I added an egg yolk to firm information technology upwardly as I'd put too much lemon juice. It worked out well.

Piece of cake and tasty. I tend to add together more juice than information technology calls for to make it tart and I top it with a container of extra creamy Absurd Whip.

It didn't fix at all, even after overnight in the refrigerator. Had to serve it as pudding and even then the gustation was but and so-so

I used the juice of 3 lemons, lemon zest, and finally some concentrated lemon juice, and this nevertheless just tasted like cream cheese with a slight lemon twist. I was afraid to add any more than as it was getting very liquid and I was agape it wouldn't set up upward. Didn't matter, it tasted awful, I might as well only swallow cream cheese with a spoon.

First-class! I know that in that location are people complaining it is non sweet enough, simply to be honest, my German taste buds can't handle the overly sugariness American desserts most of the fourth dimension and I usually have to pass on things like these. Just non this one! The reason this dessert is so successful at all the parties etc I take it to, is actually BECAUSE it is wonderfully tart and sooo incredible lemony!
